Ironwood Trail Report – Gogebic Range Trail Authority – 03/01
All GRTA trails have been groomed at least twice since last weekend’s incredible blizzard with many sections groomed 4 times. Trails will be narrow but as the weekend progresses groomers will work to widen them slowly. We had our tractor go down last night, so Friday night grooming looks to be handled by one rig. We will focus on Trails 2 and 8. Saturday we are planning to run the groomer out 160 again. Picture below is the Morgan Mine area just east of Wakefield on Trail 2. The beauty in the woods right now is hard to rival. Trails are in incredible shape and look to stay that way for at least another 10 days. Grab your friends and GO SNOWMOBILING! Cloverland Motorsports has all the rental equipment you need to bring that first timer. Snowmobiling needs you to expose people to our sport! Take a friend snowmobiling this weekend! And be sure to thank our all-volunteer groomer force!
