Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/17

There is snow in the air in downtown Frederic and its up to almost 2 in the afternoon. Been a hectic morning with lots of sleds in town and out front here, Trails got beat up bad yesterday but that is not unusual with the amount of traffic there has been around here.

The one thing that amazes me is the amount of people riding right down the rail road tracks. That is a $300 plus ticket, riders just following riders cause they see tracks. People you have to be aware of where you are and what you are riding on. Railroad Trespass is a huge fine and danger to the train. The snow gets packed into the rails and can derail the train. It happened years ago right in front of the Frederic Inn and then they have to bring in monster cranes to get it back on the rails. I saw them doing it. Urge anyone you know to be aware of where they are riding. The police were pulling over one after another for riding the tracks..

Took a lot of pictures outside yesterday, Nothing in the lost and found so far and everyone has been having a good time. That’s about it for now. Thanks for checking in. Pete
