Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/16

I wish I had better news. I just took a short ride from Peegeos to Marker 2 and the trails are in desperate need of snow.

Trail 5 Powerline was crunchy and corners and low areas were ice. I was hoping getting in to the woods would improve. Though the trails through the woods were a bit better the trails are still very crunchy and the corners were icy. I would say if you had to ride you could but it’s not looking good out there.

We’ve decided not to open this weekend unless we get 3-5 inches or so.

The groomers are parked for now until we get more snow. This has been a rough start to winter for snowmobilers so far. Hopefully February and March will be cold and snowy!
