Michigan Trail Report

Ironwood Trail Report – Gogebic Range Trail Authority – 11/29

Below is a high contrast view of US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan snow depth map, we do have more snow than the Keweenaw at this point, but not by much.

Some spots we can attest have more snow (around the Wakefield area) but with the wet fall the amount of water moving makes trail conditions change rapidly and profoundly. It will be a struggle to make it around on our trails this weekend as there will be endless mud holes, running water and warm temps.

Also please be aware Iron County and Vilas County Wisconsin both will be closed this weekend, so the interstate trail system will not be open yet. Next weekend…looks a heck of a lot better! We’ll update tomorrow again and please join our club, like our page AND GET INVOLVED! There is active logging along trail 2 just outside of Wakefield and some late season trail repair projects have also eat up some snow pack at several locations across the system. #allvolunteer #volunteergroomeroperators #seekinggroomeroperators
