Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 11/26

Zero Zilch nothing as one of my ninth grade teachers used to say. We pretty much lost all the snow we had over the weekend and with downstate Michigan getting blasted we didn’t get anything, It is 28 and cloudy here in Frederic this morning. Forcast for the week puts us on the edge of snow and temps warming again for the weekend so while official opening of the trails are on this coming Saturday I don’t think there will be any riding.

On my last trip up to Gaylord the trail at Waters and North still had closures on it all the way to Gaylord. Only time will tell what is going to happen on that. I have to say that small business Saturday here in Frederic was a huge success as my sales were up 200 percent. While that sounds great the hard facts are that on Friday I had zero customers and on Saturday I had only two sales.

So the wait is on for when the riders come north. Things were looking maybe a little promising with the 3 to 5 inches of snow that we did have but the warmth and rain wiped that out. So lets see what the week brings us. Below are some pics I took of sleds loaded and heading home to Minnesota this weekend that were here in Frederic. Pretty impressive set up and I hope he gets to use those deep paddles out there. Thanks for checking in. Pete
