March 7th, 2018 ~ 9:20 am – With 6-8 inches of fresh snow yesterday and another 5-7 in the forecast for this week, trail conditions are looking up! There is not enough of a base for grooming, but you should be able to get in another ride this winter! Keep in mind that trails currently have a slippery base and be safe. Cross your fingers for more snow and check back with us for updates.

Sledheads of Frederic – 03/06

FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling – What the heck is this? Since 4 this morning we have had almost 3 inches of new white snow. Still big flakes coming down at 10 a.m. It sure makes it look like winter again instead of spring time with all the green grass. Weather says its supposed to keep coming over the next few days but still predicting temps of 30s and lake effect snow for Friday. The snow that is out there now is a little packy so that is good. Personally I wouldn’t ride until after we have a foot or so of new snow which probably wont happen but I can about be certain that this will bring out some riders if this keeps up. I talked to Bruce up at the Gay Bar in the Keewanaw this morning and he said they are still riding up that way. Seney has their Veterans Ride this coming weekend too. They do a fantastic job for that ride and usually have around 300 sleds at it. You do not have to be a Vet to ride in it and I have done it the past couple of years.
