Only around 1 inch here at NWS office near Negaunee. Also seeing some freezing drizzle starting to show up around Iron Mountain. What are conditions like in your area early this morning? It's 6:30 am here in Manistique and it's freezing rain. There's already a layer of ice on my car. I have a long drive to get to work this morning too! šŸ˜± I wish it was just snow instead. I hate going to work on days when we get freezing rain. It would be better if it would do this on my days off! I hope they are out salting the roads! ~ And at 7:00 am it just changed over to snow. Snow is better than freezing rain! But there's still that layer of ice so be careful everyone.

Looks like about 4ā€ in Greenland

We'll see periods of moderate to heavy snow through Friday morning, dropping as much as 6-8 inches of snow over the Keweenaw. 4-6 inches of snow is expected over much of West and Central Upper Michigan with 2-4 inches expected across the rest of the U.P. Snow will be wet and heavy, which will make travel and snow removal more difficult than normal. ... See MoreSee Less
