Ironwood Trail Report – 02/11

Here’s a brief trail report:
-Still a groomer down hoping to get a rental rig in this week, Tucker Sno-Cat and operators are grooming around the clock so be cautious as we are having to day groom to keep up. Trails are good condition. Will need fresh snow soon as we’re working 2 week old snow
– Video is of Trail 8 after tonight’s groom, was hit Fri/Sat night too, rated good to excellent
-Trail 160 groomed Friday, hoping to groom tomorrow, rated good to excellent
-Trail 2 from Wakefield to Marenisco groomed Saturday evening, good condition
– Trail 11S groomed Saturday afternoon, rated good to excellent
– Ski hills between Bessemer/Wakefield being groomed tonight, trail is very icy and thin in spots, rated marginal. Hoping to push some snow down onto it this week, western Indianhead climb is icy
– Ironwood to Ramsay groomed this afternoon and will be again 4am tomorrow, rated good to excellent

Thank you to all our groomer operators who Volunteer their time! The club is logging serious miles this season!

Kippis!

That trail really need some fresh snow

Awesome trail conditions!!! Thanks for all you guys do!

Very nice job on the ski hills. So glad we got the snow we so desperately needed. The conditions report might be a little short. If it wasn’t for some icy spots? I’d say good to excellent. Go ride and be safe.

John Dee Snow Central has us in the snow and we certainly need it! PLEASE REMEMBER TO SLOW DOWN, TRAILS ARE EXTREMELY ICY. Trail conditions can change rapidly and profoundly in a short time or short distance so ride cautiously. We are so happy and honored to have you come stay with us and ride, but we also need you to return home safely to your families and loved ones.

Trails rated in good condition with some marginal sections due to ice. Lots of snow on the trails, come have fun!

Groomer Calvin, Scott & Deb were out all night long packing the 3-4" of new system snow into the trails. Trails remain VERY icy, extreme caution is needed in turns. Maintain your speed and momentum up the hill climbs to avoid spinning out. Overall trail Condition is rated as good yet. Trail 2 and trail 8 have been groomed to Tula/Marenisco last night as well as to Hurley, we did not hit the ski hill section. We demoed a new Dubie Groomers/Brush Cutter last night! It is sure agressive and much heavier than our little 8' mogul master. It cut nice but tough learning a new drag mid season! ... See MoreSee Less
