Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 12/25
LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – Merry Christmas everyone from Gogebic Area Grooming. On Christmas morning we went up trail 13 north towards Rockland, Trail 1 north to White Pine and trail 8 east to Ewen. Later tonight another groomer will be going up trail 102 to south boundary road. Trails are improving every day that we are out there. We will keep you posted with more trail conditions when we can. Happy Easter Sunday everyone! Gates are closed, temporary signs are picked up and that will wrap up this 23/24 season. Needless to say it was not what any of us wanted. But like anything else you take the good with the bad. All we can do is hope for more favorable conditions in year's to come. We'd like to thank everyone who patronized our local businesses and to everyone who follows us in our endeavors here in the Western u.p. A friendly reminder that 13n from Bergland to Rockland is closed until further notice. We hope to see everyone soon! LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Yes, we have received quite a bit of snow over the past week. Will the groomers be going out? No. There's a lot of slush and running water hidden under all this fresh. With the official end of season coming this Sunday and having only a few segments that are hard pack road grade it's not worth us taking the risk of costing our club more money by getting stuck or whatever else could possibly happen with a few runs. If you choose to ride, ride with extreme caution and be aware a hazard could be around any corner.
