Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 12/25
LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – Merry Christmas everyone from Gogebic Area Grooming. On Christmas morning we went up trail 13 north towards Rockland, Trail 1 north to White Pine and trail 8 east to Ewen. Later tonight another groomer will be going up trail 102 to south boundary road. Trails are improving every day that we are out there. We will keep you posted with more trail conditions when we can. We received around 8"to 10" over the past 2 days from the latest storm. The snow and cold have been helping out tremendously!!
I was waiting to hear from one of our operators out currently who had just groomed 8w to see if thing's had improved but he hasn't replied. However 8w and 1n are currently being groomed.
Today we finally punched through 102. We'll let 102 set up for a day or 2 and run through her again without a drag.

We've been using one machine to open up trail's and the other to pan or groom what gets the green light to cover.
Trail 13 from the Root Cellar south to camp 6 Rd. Has been opened up with a Bully today but still needs work. 13 North of the Root Cellar is still impassable.
Work on 102 has been on going for the past 2 day's and we'll probably be running a machine that direction in the next day or 2.
8w to Wakefield we opened up with hopes of the cold weather and traffic packing it in.
We currently have a machine grooming 8e and 1n.
