This was cleared and opened up on trail 13 South today from the Root Cellar to trail 2 today. This first clipper will move through the rest of both peninsulas throughout the morning hours into the early afternoon, dropping 2-5” of snow further north, 1-3” possible down to the I-96 corridor. 8w to Wakefield was opened up today and is safe to run. You will come across a lot of twiggy brush and wet spots but it is opened up. Follow signs and expect early season conditions. Sounds like it's about the same conditions 1-4 inches of ice use caution and a SPUD bar .
Trail conditions.
The groomers are working their asses off trying to clean up after the storm. Sounds like some trails are groomed while other trails remain closed best bet it to find an actual groomer page in the area you plan on riding and go with what they say . Don't get roped in from money hungry false reports you see online.
Come stay in the motel cheapest rooms in the area .
Bait shop hours 8-5 Eastern 7 days I will open at 7 am once perch fishing starts. Self service bait room is stocked up with bait for after hours bait..

Trail 1 - Passable from Marenisco to PI. Groomed from Marenisco to Job Corps Rd, will be grooming the remainder soon. Passable and groomed from Marenisco north to the end of FR 8800. Closed from FR 8800 north to Copps Tower Rd
Trail 2 - Groomed and flat through Marenisco and up to the Trail 1 split to PI
Trail 100 - Groomed to Hwy M64 with wet sections. Passable from Hwy M64 to Trail 13 intersection but rocky with still many whips.
Trail 13 - Passable from 100/13 intersection north to Camp 6 Rd but ungroomed and many whips. From Trail 100/13 intersection southeast to the Trail 2/13 intersection is still closed. Waiting for reroute approval.
Long story short, all of our open trails are passable and ready for full grooming this week! It’s snowing now with cold temps and more snow/cold in the forecast!! #lakegogebic #westernup
Today we were successful in opening up 8e to Ewen and it will be groomed over the next few hours. So that makes 3 of our trail segments completely opened up and been groomed including the corridor..
Tomorrow 12-9-25 we are headed over to 8w to Wakefield, wish us luck!!
