Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open but are in early season condition. Groomers are out panning trails and clearing hazards. More snow is needed.
Any trail usage should be done with extreme caution as there are some low snow cover areas and there are rocks, branches, wet areas and hazards that have not been identified.
The Portage Lift Bridge is open for snowmobile traffic. The mat is not down yet.
Trail 124, 132W and 133 are temporarily closed for logging.
Remember when you’re out on the trails to watch out for the groomers. They have the right away.
The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trail are there for riders’ safety so please DO Not remove or destroy them.
