Newberry Trail Report – 12/13
December 13, 2017 Snowmobile trails are officially open and we need more snow. North Trail #9 There is about 8 inches on the ground and over a foot at Pine Stump. There is a deep water hole between Co Rd 422 and School Bus Corner (Co Rd 455) which now has stop ahead and stop signs. The water was to the top of the tracks on the groomer last night. Trail #45 This trail has 4 wet areas that the club members are trying to fill with snow and freeze. The two worst spots are located 2 miles in from M-123 and the other area past Skyline Road. You will find stop ahead and stops signs at these 2 locations. Please slow down on this trail due to the amount of rain we have received since September this trail has a lot of water. The gate at CR 500 is closed and will remain closed until we know that the swamp is safe to cross. Trails were good I thought we rode up past pine stump and did little loop on 8/9 than back to newberry and last mile coming into newberry was pretty slushy from the warm all in all way better riding than we did on Saturday to trout lake! We were treated to an absolutely stunning sunrise this morning—painted skies, crisp air, and just enough fresh snow to make everything sparkle. ✨

Eh, hour and a half to second stop sign, 10.3 mile, not spinning, good bite but pulling alot of disagreeable heavy snow.
Blade still wants to push up a wad and roll balls off the end.
So, creative dragging it shall be for the time being.
AGAIN, THEY SAY, its actually supposed to get quite cold tonight, what I am able to leave behind is shaved off highs an filled in holes, if it freezes up, should last much longer than the last several grooms.
We shall see. Keep you posted.
10:34 Windy Corners finished, not bragging but its flat, again if temps work with us, it freezes up, should offset any memory underneath, thats what I'm gunning for.

We had around 200 sleds registered for the show. The weather was good and we had a great crowd!!
