Cadillac Area Trail Report – 12/12
DECEMBER 12 CABERFAE PEAKS DECEMBER 8 Trails are open and legal for riding, however we only have 3″ of lake effect fluff. Groomers are standing by. Please remember in our area trail 5, the White Pine Linear Trail, the DNR asks for a minimum of 4″ so we don’t damage the asphalt. Keep praying for snow and we will keep you updated as we get the season underway. —– To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below: 33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Precip will gradually taper through the evening. CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – Glorious morning with 4” of fresh snow at Coyote, and 8” just west of us! Ski slopes are open full time at Caberfae starting Friday, Dec.15th, and the snowmobile trails should be decent this weekend as well. Still very little base
6″ new over night and still snowing! 7.5″ last 48 and 10″ last 72 hours…. slopes reopen for the season this Friday at 10 am!
