Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 12/09
and so it begins, the first sleds of the new season have rode into Frederic. The honor of the first ones go to Mark & Marissa Lewis from Midland. They parked out in my back parking lot and were going to head off towards starvation lake. Yesterday the only sleds that were in here were on or in trailers and they were heading off to other places. Had a crew in here from Flint and Big Rapids this morning too. So well I still say its early for riding and we need system snow. Good thing is there are some predictions for system snow and a clipper this coming week so maybe we can really keep what we do have. Mark said there were 4 sleds at the gas station when they came into town this morning. I also just received an email from Diane at the Starvation Lake Store and she said they have 16 inches there. Pictures below from this morning and the trucks from yesterday along with the Christmas train that stopped in Grayling yesterday. It was all decorated up and of course Santa was inside to visit with the kids. Thanks for checking in.
