Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 03/10
4 degrees this morning and about inch of snow with winter weather advisory all day. Trails icy covered but snow is sticking in the woods and making a decent surface when groomed. Groomers are out mixing the fresh snow and ice. Trails fair not great but rideable. Cold temps and lake effect snow called for all weekend. <> The weatherman was correct, the temp slowly dropped yesterday and we have 2-3 inches of new snow on ground and temp of 15 degrees. The next few days with highs in the teens and nightly lows of single digits. Groomers are out smoothing out the drifted new snow with the icy base left after warm up. Most trails will be in fair to good shape by Friday. Road shoulders will bare quickly and watch for limbs or trees after the 2 days of high wind. <> Sault Ste.
