The combination of blowing snow and snow will make travel very difficult in the Keweenaw. Elsewhere freezing drizzle and period of light snow will result in continued slick surfaces. Moderate to heavy snow is expected through much of the morning, save for the far southern UP, before transitioning to a wintry mix with freezing rain/drizzle this afternoon. Confidence remains low to medium regarding the spatial extent of freezing rain accumulation, however. Gusty winds and heavy wet snow may cause power outages in the Keweenaw. 1) Winter Storm Warnings & Advisories from early Wednesday morning to Wednesday Evening. Most of the impact will be from 3am to 9am for Northern Michigan. For the list of counties and what you can expect, head here: www.9and10news.com/weather/latest-forecast/
2) U.P. and Tip of the Mitt will see the most snow. Some areas of Chippewa & Mackinac County could see 5-10" of snow!
3) Areas of the Northern Lower & Northern Central Lower could see a glaze of ice to .25" of ice accumulation.
4) Areas closer to Lake Michigan will stay rain and avoid issues.
