TRAIL REPORT – Sorry for the delay, but Tractor Mac was out fixing trail already this AM. The cold snap has set up the trails nicely, but some of the moguls were extremely hard and difficult to cut down last night. All trails except Trail 12 from the 137 junction to Greenland were groomed and are in good to excellent condition.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Strong winds develop near Lake Superior this morning, resulting in blowing snow and reduced visibility in the western, north-central, and eastern UP. In addition, slick roadways are possible in the wake of a round of patchy freezing drizzle this past night. This may lead to hazardous travel for the morning commute. LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's update for Thursday 2-5-26. 1s or Ethelwood Grade is open for the remainder of the Snowmobile season. We took a machine down today to make sure all obstacles were clear to the turnaround and Marenisco crew did the same. We have a few things to clean up, but it's passable by sled and Bully. On that point, we have some new experienced help as Cody took his first run for NCSC last night! He, Chad and Tractor Mac hit all of our trails with the exception of Trail #12 from Ontonagon to Greenland. We have had heavy traffic for a Wednesday and Thursday with warmer conditions.
