NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> 02/05 Left Newberry at 6PM, headed north on trail 9, 5.1 miles of nothing but ugly so far, out in front anyway. Behind me, not so bad 😉 7:47 10.6 miles to the second stop sign today, a little slippage going on. Dozen pretty hard, may leave a tad of a mess edges of some corners, heads up just so you know, I’ll use it on the way back. Mostly getting outta my way tonight, mostly, Major pain to stop when you’re digging this hard.😐 Anyway, miles and miles to go, keep you posted. Thank You Chad Schubach for getting tracks adjusted up taunt, no way we could have fixed this trail tonight had we not. 😊 8:40 So I gotta tell ya, pulled out onto 498 (I75) toward Windy Corners, see some lights not moving Waaaay up there, get to the intersection, stop, ask them if the need me to find them something to do? He said, “No, he just saw we were coming and he wanted to wait, because he didn’t want to piss us off”, then hands me Gas Money!😁 I love this man, 🥰 thats all. 9:40, In and outta Windy Corners, pretty beat up, we left it pretty nice. At the Go to Pine Stump corner, no man’s land signal wise for a bit, see what I can do once I get there. In case you wondered what Pine Stump looks like at 3:09 AM on a Friday. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow showers will end across the eastern U.P. later this morning as a passing clipper exits the region. Cloudy skies linger through the day, with highs ranging from the mid 30s in the east and near Lake Superior to mid 40s in the west and south-central U.P. Another weak clipper crosses the lake tonight, bringing a chance for some light snow showers across the north. We have enough left for four days unless the DNR comes through. We should know more tomorrow, but we are not grooming until we know what’s going on or we may switch it up to every other day until the end of the season or wait till Friday and groom until we’re done. It’s kind of up in the air right now, but we will let you know.  #newberryUpdate the DNR got us a additional $7000. Finally seen a groomer out late towards eving by trout like. It looked like a tinker toy compared to the tractors n groomers here in Kalkaska. I was surprised. Great !!! We rode to trout lake yesterday and it was brutal but cannot fault your work and dedication it’s the weather ! I talked to driver I passed coming into newberry great guy!! There will be snow, lots of it more than likely, on our trail system. There may be some rough or bumpy spots, however weather permitting we will groom. As it sits right now, the weather forecast looks like we can groom this afternoon and overnight. Tomorrow is questionable. Thursday Friday and Saturday all are forecasted to be cold so I have every intention on sending groomers out on schedule. Remember, this is Michigan and the weather can change by the time I finish this and get it posted!
In closing I will say this. Come on up and plan to ride. The crazy 8's will be here. There will be snow. There may be some "snirt" especially coming into town. There may be some rough spots. There WILL be the pleasure you get from getting away one final time this season!! Ride right, ride safe.

30 degrees this morning and snowing. I`ve got a fresh 2" on my deck from last night too. Here`s what I know on the trails......
Groomer Dave ran the South trail #8 Sunday and said it turned out great.
Groomer Keith ran the Pine Stump trails yesterday and called them good.
Groomer Glenn hit the Point trails also yesterday and called them good.
It looks like the weather will hold off good enough to finish till the end of the season so come on U.P. this weekend for one last ride!!!!! Of course you can ride into April but we can`t groom after the 31st.

Eh, hour and a half to second stop sign, 10.3 mile, not spinning, good bite but pulling alot of disagreeable heavy snow.
Blade still wants to push up a wad and roll balls off the end.
So, creative dragging it shall be for the time being.
AGAIN, THEY SAY, its actually supposed to get quite cold tonight, what I am able to leave behind is shaved off highs an filled in holes, if it freezes up, should last much longer than the last several grooms.
We shall see. Keep you posted.
10:34 Windy Corners finished, not bragging but its flat, again if temps work with us, it freezes up, should offset any memory underneath, thats what I'm gunning for.

27 degrees this morning under a partly sunny sky. Here`s what went on yesterday and what`s happening today.......
