Traverse City Area Trail Report – 01/25
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> 01/25 Baby it’s cold outside……. because of the extreme cold, GTASC did not groom on Friday for the safety of our drivers. However, last night we were out in full force. Groomer Steve groomed the east route reporting some drifting but the trails groomed up nice. Groomer Mark did the south trail and reported excellent conditions. Groomer Jeff did the north trail with the new Dubie Groomers/Brush Cutter and does that drag work nice. Jeff reported excellent conditions. Thanks guys for volunteering your time. Wind chills in the 20s below zero; some areas could feel as cold as -30F. This will be dangerous, as frostbite can develop in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin. Limit time outdoors and dress in layers. Keep a winter weather survival kit in your vehicle in case you get stranded.
