Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/07
Gaylord Bureau – December 3, 2025 2:30 p.m. The snow is here and trails are officially open for the season! Last weekend’s winter storm dropped a heaping helping of the white stuff on us. The trails near Lakes of the North are in good shape, trails near Johannesburg are in fair shape, and the south loop is in poor shape. Please note, due to the ice storm, there is a logging operation near Turtle Lake Road and Douglas Lake Road – the logging trucks are using the trail as a road. The trails are passable, but they’re in poor shape with dirt showing. Proceed with caution in these areas. Wondering what the trails look like? Check out the live view of trail #7 here. If this winter is anything like last year, it’s going to be another epic one! Want to be ready? Get a free trail map delivered right to your mailbox and plan your adventure! Check out our local webcams here. A few things to remember about our groomers and trails: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way.
