Munising Area Trail Report – 03/12

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 03/12

We did manage to groom on the east end last night but had the wheels down in many spots.Things are fading fast with the warm weather. without snow and colder Temps there isn’t much we can do with whats left of snow on the trail. A couple more warm days and it won’t be worth riding, there will be as much dirt as snow considering dirt road connections and roadside trail.

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA >> We did see 6" of snow overnight.
We had the trails pretty flat and icy is most areas.
The Snow was wet and heavy. Plenty of wind.
Please watch out for down trees.
There is also some drifting to watch for.
Most trails still have plenty of base but its rock hard.
This fluff on top should make for some good riding.
We will have folks out inspecting today.
After the wind and drifting we will determine what / if makes sense to groom.
Picture shown is showing an example of hazards on side of trail being exposed after some melt down. Pretty standard late season conditions. #munising #snowphotosWe did see 6" of snow overnight.

Pretty much time to quit and clean up your snowmobiles and put them away for the winter

Anyone know if you could ride out of St Ignace to trout lake towards Newberry? Just looking for closet parking from bridge? Thanks
