TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> 02/12 Groomer Jeff V. groomed the east route. Jeff reported near excellent conditions. He said the forecasted 4-6 inches of fresh snow will make all the difference. Groomer Pat groomed the north and said your path to Peegeo’s is awaiting you. Get out there and ride and enjoy some great food. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat.
