PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 02/05
2/5/25 15 degrees this morning and cloudy. I picked up about 2" of snow last night on my deck and it looks like more is coming according to the weather guessers. We have at least 3′ on the ground in case you are wondering. Nothing but good news from yesterday so here we go…….
Groomer Keith ran the Pine Stump trails 8 & 9 and called them good. As usual, there is some drifting in "siberia" so be careful in that section.
Groomer Gerald ran the Falls trail #45 and called that good. Groomer Ben ran the South trail #8 but I haven`t heard from him but I gotta assume its in great shape too.
Now we get to Groomer Mike H. He`s our comic relief at da barn. He`s got his own rating system and he always dares me to use it but I can`t cause I`m afraid I`ll offend someone. He ran the Point trails #452 and #452 and lets just say he calls them excellent!
Soooo……it doesn`t get any better folks. The weather is great…..the trails are great and the traffic is kinda low. Paradise is a little slow this year???? Don`t know why. I know my business is unusually slow. Come on over to a smaller town and enjoy it here. Shorter wait at the restaurants and gas stations.

FROM Great Lakes Weather & Climate >> 📡 Statewide radar loop through 10 AM today (11/9) shows our two distinct snowmakers in progress. The first one is the synoptic (aka "system") snow associated with a low that is moving east through southern Ohio. The counterclockwise flow around the low is shown over Metro Detroit as moisture interacts with decreasing temps, leading to this morning's snowfall. Over the U.P. and Lake Michigan, the north winds are ushering in the coldest air of the season, which activates lake effect snow and transitions to the second portion of this snow event. Counties in the corner of southwest lower Michigan, northern Indiana and Illinois are set to receive a firehose of lake effect over the next 24-36 hrs, resulting in accumulations that could push one foot. Portions of northern lower Michigan and the Saginaw Bay region are also set to receive lake effect snowfall through this evening, with amounts of 3-6 inches possible, with isolated higher amounts. #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #newberry #soo #gaylord#cadillac #traversecity #petoskey...
