MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 02/04 We are still helping out our neighbors to the east. Made another run for them and us last night. We groomed trail 8 to m94, 7 up to Christmas, 417 up to the Brownstone, and 418 over to AuTrain, then back on 8 down to Rumely. The new snow is really helping the trail. No grooming is being done on 418 west of the Brownstone yet due to lack of snow. We will continue to help out S.O.R.V.A. as long as we have people to operate the groomer. This has been our greatest task this year. Getting help. Anyone interested in learning how to groom, we could use more people. So far it looks like the Deere is going to be back up before the Bison. We are doing all we can to ensure we are getting these groomers back on the trail ASAP. The trails have been holding up and our neighbor clubs are going above and beyond. TNT, Big Bay De Noc, Schoolcraft…… we owe you several beers at least. Sorry no real trail pictures – the groomers are slacking on sending in pictures. Highs will be around 20. Tonight and Wednesday, a weak system brings a widespread 1 to 2 inches of snow, with lows in the single digits in the interior to 10s around the lakeshores. Highs Wednesday will be in the 30s.
