FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/31 It’s 10:30 on a sunny 27 degree friday morning in downtown Frederic. I got here just after nine and there were about 15 or so sleds lined up at the swamp heading out for a pretty large group ride. Yesterday it was up to 41 and gave us more melting and settling than I would like to see but things have held up pretty well. Not sure what today is going to do. Wednesday things were so perfect and thursday was good too. Next system snow isnt till next wednesday. Both days inn in grayling and Ramada only had 2 trailers each at them. So same old blah, blah, blah. You have to take what we get and make the best of it. Yesterday a couple brought in a new saddle bag off of a 2025 ski doo and it did have a name in it. I posted it on my Sledheads facebook page and in 20 minutes he came walking in the door. Jeff Bartell was the guy and he would love to talk to the couple that turned it in so if they read this please call me and I will put you in touch with him. Also when Jeff came in with his group of guys I told him he had to identify the odd thing that was in the bag. His whole crew laughed as they knew what it was and there is a pic below of him holding it. He was very happy to get it back.Thats about it for today so lets hope we hold the snow we have.
