FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/30 Finally a real great day of riding yesterday. At least thats what I heard from riders and sadly I wasnt out there myself to tell you first hand. Currently 25 degrees out and supposed to get to 40 today. That actually may help build our base as its supposed to cool back down. I wanted to ride yesterday but I ended up here in Sledheads all day between customers and plowing. Had 5 trucks and trailers parked out back and thats alot for a wednesday. Riders were certainly enjoying the conditions. It would be great to get a full month of February in. Thanks for checking in. Snow is about 4 inches so far and its a wet and heavy snow, tough to plow and hard to ride in. We just cant win on this. Winter storm warning till 1 tuesday morning. -Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
