FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/28 Finally a decent amount of new snow. After high winds and snowing and blowing on monday we had about a nice 6 to 8 inches of new snow in Frederic overnight. The high winds ripped my big 20 x 40 banner on the front of my building yesterday and I had to get up there on the ladder to get it down. That was alot of fun. We only had a couple inches in grayling by my house. So thats the best snow we have hit us overnight in a while. Maybe we will have a decent amount of riders and decent trails this weekend. My guys I rode with on sunday rode about 80 miles again yesterday and said trails were great. Thanks for checking in. Still alot to melt off here in Frederic, Piles were huge and so very rock hard its still gonna take them a while to melt down. The good thing about all the snow was that it spread the riders out all thru the state which made for a much safer season. Even with that there were still 12 deaths with only 4 in the lower and the rest in the u.p.
