LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> 01/27 Sunday evening report from Bergland Area Groomer’s 1/26/25. Currently 26° with an Winter advisory for a clipper system today/ tonight. Trail’s covered 102, 13n, 8w and 1n. 8w was pretty bad again but groomed out nicely. Anytime we get fresh snow and heavy traffic it’s always going to get whooped out. 1n was cut down the night previous to try and get the mogul situation cured. 102 hasn’t been horrible besides the hard curves that berm up and freeze in. 13n the same. We’re in weekday mode now, where traffic should slow down a little bit and allow us to get all trails back in order and give us time do some maintenance on our machines.. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail. I took a trip to Rhinelander and got a few pics of the trails along the way. There's no snow in Rhinelander and very little in Eagle River. Watersmeet looks bad and doesn't start looking good until Mass City.
