Still having some issues with the heat, but we were able to get the trail groomed from Rumely to 417. Just to thin uet to groom much past Rumely. Pray for snow and do your snow dance. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Groomer operators were checking traffic levels and we had feedback from some drift busters and we will be looking into conditions tomorrow before we pull the trigger on grooming. Conditions are getting more favorable, but the snow isn’t settling fast enough with sleds avoiding the drifts and knocking the air out of them. At 16 thousand pounds, the groomer doesn’t float enough in soft deep snow and we dont have a second machine to self rescue. So bear with us as we constantly monitor and discuss amongst our operators on the earliest optimum time to safely hit the trail. The exception will be in the northwest wind snowbelts where up to 4” of dry fluffy snow is possible.
