TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> 01/21 Even the banks of the Boardman River are frozen and ice chunks are floating down stream-truly don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. Currently -18 degrees in the valley. But no wind and beautiful blue sky- honestly a beautiful day ☀ ❄ Horses and livestock are doing amazing! Some snow to contend with in two areas tonight… steadier light snow south of M-72, and some residual lake effect in eastern upper. Trails were flat but we do have SOME dirt showing in the open areas where the sun is hitting it. Overall 95% coverage. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm again but right back below freezing.
