With dry air mixing in, totals will be relatively kept in check, but a swath of 1-3", perhaps 4" is possible along M-28 south of Grand Marais. Changing wind fields will also allow for light/brief accumulations along some of our lakeshore regions in the Lower Peninsula, but it's not guaranteed for everyone. Timing is through the remainder of the day. 20 degrees this morning under a sunny sky. We did pick up another inch or two yesterday also. Its supposed to get close to 40 today then drop back to "normal" for a few days, with some snow Saturday, before climbing back into the 30`s later next week. Nuff on the weather, here`s what went on for the trails yesterday.....
Groomer Dave ran the South trail #8 and called it EXCELLENT!
Groomer Ben ran the Point trails #452 & #453 and used the word PRISTINE!
Groomer Glenn ran the Falls trail #45 and said it was pretty beat up when he started but groomed up to good shape.
I haven`t heard from the Pine Stump trail #8 & #9 guy but I gotta assume its good to go too.
We`ll be running all trails all weekend so COME ON U.P.!!!!!!

14 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. Just a quick up date before I head out the door to clear my parking lot. We`ve picked up 8", plus or minus, in the last 24 hrs! I love it when the weather guessers are right! All trails will be run today/tonight. I wish I was on the schedule to run, its a blast with all this fresh snow. About all I have for ya`s. COME ON U.P. Our trail system is in great shape!!!!

21 degrees this morning and snowing. It was snowing and blowing most all day yesterday....I guess the weather guessers were right! Its hard to tell how much we got cause of the wind but I have a knee high drift on my deck and about 4" on the rails.....perfect!
As far as the trails go....I haven`t heard from any of the other guys yet on how their runs went yesterday but I ran the South trail #8 and I assume they all ran across the same conditions. My trail was hard as a rock. I could have used a Zamboni to do a better job! It groomed up just ok but I wasn`t able to dig out the bigger moguls. With this new snow we`ll be good, it`ll just take another day to whip them back to great shape. The good news is that the cold spell really helped freeze up the swamp solid again. It looks like this weather pattern, colder and snowy, will stick around for awhile too with just one day on the warmer side.
Soooo.....COME ON U.P. while the gettin is still good!!!!
