KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> 01/18 Trails worked out decent after the warm day yesterday (hit over 40°). Expect high traffic today, we’re happy to see everyone up and supporting all the business that support our club! Please be careful out there. Ride right, ride sober and ride to the lowest ability of your group. A plea here as well – PLEASE every rider stop at every stop sign. I cannot tell to the amount of times in the past week alone we see the “wave the next guy though,” incomplete stops or not giving cars enough time. The car, truck, semi will always win. We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
