MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 01/10 Well, we got out last night and pushed in some holes in. We made a short run with the drag from 417 to Rumely. Trail is thin, to say the least. Use caution while riding. It’s January 10th, and we still have early season conditions.we could see another system come through on Sunday, so let’s hope we get some much needed snow. We won’t be grooming daily just yet and will be taking it day by day. We also don’t know when we will be attempting a full run. We really need more snow. Do your snow dance. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Short run today to make sure our east end is smooth and conditions couldn’t be better. Possibly making one more full run before the end of season to make sure we are right on track to finish the season out. Reports have been coming in that the trail is pretty smooth. Grooming will end, but the entire trail will be open through the 31st. Private land closes across the state on the 1st of April, so feel free to keep riding, but please respect private property as land use permits do not allow clubs to keep the trail open. We spent the day in the barn with the John Deere Technician. We were able to get the 6175 hydro pump replaced and it is back in action. We have been running 2 groomers as we normally do. Because we took on the trail going towards Marquette we were provided with a 3rd snow program groomer. That trail not having enough snow to groom, we have been able to leverage it in other areas. We are lucky to have this option so this break down did not impact our trail system conditions in any way. Going forward we will have 3 groomers covering the trail system.
With the number of sleds out there that we are seeing there are going to be some whoops at times. If this upsets you please think back to last year when there was no snow to ride.
