FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/04 Lets load up and go to Indianapolis as it looks like all the snow is going to be south of I 70. We have only had another couple inches of lake effect snow since yesterday. I still feel like your skis are right thru the little bit we have and carbides are right thru to the gravel. Sleds are out and about riding and I heard the parking lot on 612 is full and I have 2 trucks out back so far this morning. I saw sleds running thru Grayling first thing this morning and the most I saw at the Swamp yesterday was about 20. At least its nice and white out. Here are a few pics. Thanks for checking in. -Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
