MASS CITY / KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club – 01/03
We are getting some nice snow! Groomers have been out. Almost all of the trails in our system have been done. I am waiting on reports. It’s official, winter has returned! Let’s hope that the snow keeps falling!
Trail reports:
Jon reporting on Trail 12 last night.
Good, I believe I got the majority of the bumps smoothed out. I had to fill in some low spots with snow. The roads were excellent. Kurt is going to work on the swamp it was in need of attention.
Chris reporting on Trail 13 to Rockland last night.
Went pretty good, there were a few areas with flowing water. The largest area was just before the big hill headed towards Rockland. That flow of water was about 6 ft wide. I was able to get them all filled in. Several parts of the trail were pretty thin but overall the trails looked good.
Thanks, Jon and Chris!

I just shoveled 8 inches, (I measured), of beautiful snow from overnight and this morning in Mass City! Winter has returned!! I’m dancing!!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 10 February 2026 I'm being bombarded with questions about the warm up coming this weekend. So let me explain my honest but might not be accurate trail report Every year we get a warm up for a few days. Mid 30's and low 40's will definitely make it a little sloppy and most likely moguled up by Sunday. My guess is that we will pause grooming during this time and it's going to get rough. By Wednesday night into Thursday the temps will drop and we can possibly resume grooming but it'll take a couple day's to fix the mess. Keep in mind I ride in 40°-50° days most of April and the trails hold up pretty good. ☠️ Stretch Western UP Trail Reports Web Cam video.nest.com/live/4BKmS6XRiT#keweenaw #miweather10 February 2026 I'm being bombarded with questions about the warm up coming this weekend. The warm up won't kill anything for trail riders, everyone has plenty of snow. Now off trail riders.....😩
🤣 3 ++ Feet !!!! YES I said Feet, of Base the only thing that will hurt it is riding on it. I know everyone can't just cancel because this is your 1 and only trip, but if you can hold of for a weekend and by next Thursday they will be Mint again. Ride Right and Sober!
