MASS CITY / KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Adventure Motel – 01/02 For anyone questioning snow conditions. We are getting snow and Grromers are out. If your on the trail and see a Grromer near Mass City be sure to wave my father is out grooming tonight. Trail update: Trails 12, and 13, and portions of 3, out of Greenland, have not been groomed due to lack of snow, and the warm temperatures that we have experienced. We need more snow to continue our grooming operations both for binding and coverage. We are hopeful that the snow in the forecast comes to fruition. We have a base of about 6 inches remaining in our yard in Mass City. 17°in Mass City with 2 inches of fresh snow overnight. I wish that I could report better news for the area. I am grateful for what we have received, and looking forward to some more of the white stuff. I’ll keep you posted! Enjoy your day!

Every year we get a warm up for a few days. Mid 30's and low 40's will definitely make it a little sloppy and most likely moguled up by Sunday. My guess is that we will pause grooming during this time and it's going to get rough. By Wednesday night into Thursday the temps will drop and we can possibly resume grooming but it'll take a couple day's to fix the mess.
Keep in mind I ride in 40°-50° days most of April and the trails hold up pretty good.

Lake effect snow showers and gusty winds could lead to some rapidly changing visibility on the roads through tonight, especially close to Lake Superior and in the Keweenaw.
