Trails are looking good. We have ran into a few groups we know. Pretty cool. Was cool seeing you Matt and your whole gang. Took a little video of you guys coming up. It’s in my comments. It would let me post videos and pics…I seen your hunny this morning when I was working at store.

SENEY AREA UPDATE via Seney Snowmobile Association – 01/01
Trail 43 out of seney overall has held up pretty well. There are 3 or 4 water spots to contend with, so please ride with caution. As the temperatures will be cooling down we will be getting the trails smoothed out the best we can. The trails still have a good base to them in most areas, we just need some decent snow fall to get them back in shape. Along 77 out of town is dirty but snow covered and fairly smooth. North of the parking area on 77 the trail is better but obviously thin. Getting around town right now is ok at best. We need snow to make things good again, and alot of snow to make them great.

However, things quickly take a turn as a winter storm heads towards the region. This kicks off an initial batch of light snow late tonight, persisting into Tuesday morning. A brief break Tuesday afternoon will be followed by more light to moderate snow Tuesday evening through Wednesday. With our degreed meteorologists on staff, we also have our own in-house forecasts releasing every day, 365 days a year. Unfortunately, for our warm-weather enjoyers up north, this forecast is not for you. Snow is likely today, March 7th, 2026 on the backside of the low pressure system moving through, while parts of southern Michigan reach the mid-60s today. Most of the snow will fall along the spine of the western Upper Peninsula, where 2-5" of fresh snow is possible in the cornflower blue coloring. 1-3" of snow also possible in nearby Baraga and western Marquette county. A trace to 1" is possible for all areas in white, but most of these areas won't see more than a couple flurries mixed in with light freezing drizzle. Snow should be done by 10 pm EST across the Upper Peninsula. The rest of the state will be dealing with temperatures in the 40s to 60s with showers and thunderstorms, clearing by late evening. This will set the stage for a mostly sunny Sunday ahead.
