Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/27
Gaylord Bureau – December 27, 2024 8:30 a.m. We had an epic start to snowmobile season – the Gaylord area got hit with over 90 inches of snow to start out winter! Due to the warmer temps, trails are in poor condition and grooming has stopped. Don’t worry, there’s more snow in the forecast! Check out this live feed to see trail #7, just north of Gaylord. A few things to remember about groomers: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way. Want to be ready? Sled traffic was more than I expected to see on thursday but yesterday compared to today was fantastic. A few times I saw at least 15 sleds over at the swamp and a few sleds rode into Sledheads. This morning a different storty. Icy, Slushy and dirt coming thru. Below are a few pics from yesterday where it looked decent and the ugly pics are from this morning. It rained and melted most all night at my house and all my snow melted off my porch during the night. Not looking good for tommorow either.with rain and 40s predicted.thru sunday.
