Groomers are reporting that there are still wet areas, some are deep. We are working on filling them. It takes time. Please ride with caution! <> <> IRONWOOD - WESTERN U.P. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 11/09/2025 FROM Krupps Resort >> Thinking that was the first of the 2025-2026 sled fill ups at Krupp's Mini Mart 🤷♀️😊❄️ Like said in the video, we are separate owners 😊 See them for gas, food, trail passes etc and come see us at fhe Resort for cabins/RV spots and pontoons (summer time for those of course haha) Don’t forget we have a huge field that is kept plowed daily (at times more than once a day haha) with a heated changing room, heated portable potty, heated ER building for working on your sleds- also if tools are needed and we have it it’s your to use! The day parking passes are $20/day if you are staying here in one of the cabins/RV spot you do NOT pay to park. We are currently sitting at 24° with a low of 17° this evening. Around 3"of snow has fallen over the past 24hrs and was our first measurable snowfall of the 25/26 season.
As you can see by the pictures we've been getting everything ready for the December 1st opening (Weather permitting).
Next up. We will be putting new cutting blades and guide plates on our Trail Setter drag.
We've heard the swamps are starting to make ice and the long range looks favorable for us to be able to get out there and start getting everything in shape🤞. Thanks everyone.. Think snow!! ❄️❄️❄️ #lakegogebic #westernup

The first one is the synoptic (aka "system") snow associated with a low that is moving east through southern Ohio. The counterclockwise flow around the low is shown over Metro Detroit as moisture interacts with decreasing temps, leading to this morning's snowfall.
Over the U.P. and Lake Michigan, the north winds are ushering in the coldest air of the season, which activates lake effect snow and transitions to the second portion of this snow event. Counties in the corner of southwest lower Michigan, northern Indiana and Illinois are set to receive a firehose of lake effect over the next 24-36 hrs, resulting in accumulations that could push one foot.
Portions of northern lower Michigan and the Saginaw Bay region are also set to receive lake effect snowfall through this evening, with amounts of 3-6 inches possible, with isolated higher amounts. #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #newberry #soo #gaylord #cadillac #traversecity #petoskey
