❄️ A half-hour drive north of Lake Gogebic, you’ll encounter Lake Superior. Known for its lake effect snow, Gitche Gumee is always moody.
❄️ Friday, March 27th: Here’s a look at lakefront conditions in Ontonagon County. A band of lake effect snow moved in, dropping two inches in one hour.
☁️ MEANWHILE… On Lake Gogebic… a cloudy day with afternoon temps reaching the mid-20’s.
☁️ Chef Noel is at the Hoop ‘n Holler. Feel free to stop in for a Reuben and some college hoops tonight! 🥪🏀 #lakegogebic #westernup #snowphotos ... See MoreSee Less
Just 5 days left in the snowmobile trail season but off trail rides should last quite awhile here with the snowpack we have
And it’s coming down pretty good this morning
20 miles south is basically dirt but Mass City to Copper Harbor has plenty of snow and the Keweenaw snowmobile club is still grooming from Toivola north to Copper Harbor and reports have been great
The Superior snowmobile club has finished grooming early this year so extremely bumpy from Toivola and south
If your a snow lover like me, get up here now for a trail ride otherwise spring off trail rides are the best and ya have at least a month left for that
Check out the Shackiecam 24/7 here on beautiful Lake Roland

I took a trip to Rhinelander and got a few pics of the trails along the way. There's no snow in Rhinelander and very little in Eagle River. Watersmeet looks bad and doesn't start looking good until Mass City.

➡️ Mixed weekday temperatures will make conditions vary, but Mud Season is creeping up on us.
➡️ Here are snapshots of our driveway and lakefront.
➡️ Thin, icy patches are melting, but deep snowdrifts will take longer.
➡️ The melting that’s underway is exposing some of the debris leftover from the season’s first big winter storm. #lakegogebic #westernup ... See MoreSee Less
