Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/07
Gaylord Bureau – December 7, 2024 9:50 a.m. Snow, baby, snow! We’re having an epic start to snowmobile season and the Gaylord area got hit with over 40 inches of snow to start out winter. All trails are open and in good shape but there may be some choppy spots due to heavy traffic. Groomers are out working on it to keep them smooth. Please remember that even with the fresh snow we received, we are still building up our base. While it does look like there may be a warm up this weekend, that will help build our base. Groomers will run in the evening as conditions and temperatures allow. A few things to remember about groomers: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way. Want to be ready? My back parking lot is full and people are having a problem finding trailer parking. There is light snow falling and we had a couple inches since last night. Its now noon thirty and still snow in the air and riders all over the place. Almost like the good old days when there were riders everywhere. Thankfully the temp is still at 29 degrees. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> HAPPY NEW YEAR - It's been a great day to ride in Frederic, Sled traffic has been steady all day. Riders stopping in for goodies and to say hi. I would say this has been the busiest day of the season with the amount of sleds that have been around. Dinner last nite at the Frederic Inn was great and you can see the five of us showing off our meat. I was in deep in sleep way before midnite.
