Benzie Area Trail Report – 12/05
BENZIE / MANISTEE UPDATE via Benzie Manistee Snowbirds – 12/05 Good new everyone, we have enough snow now and will be sending out our groomers tomorrow to start panning and grooming our trail system. Following is important information about our trail system: • There is active logging activity impacting trail 3 north of US31 just past Maple City Hwy. The groomed trail has been graded down to dirt and there are logging trucks using this section of the trail. I would recommend that you do not use this section of trail at this time. According to the DNR, most of this activity should be completed in about a week. • The private property gate in Bear Lake on Chief road will remain closed until December 16. This is at the request of property owners.
