Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/03

Gaylord Bureau –

December 3, 2024

9:15 a.m.

Snow, baby, snow! We’re having an epic start to snowmobile season and the Gaylord area currently has over 40 inches, with more in the forecast!

The groomers have been running since trails opened on December 1st. Trail #7 is looking good right now. Johannesburg received slightly less snow and is in fair condition. Please remember that even with the fresh snow we received, we are still building up our base. Groomers will keep running as we receive more snow.

A few things to remember about groomers:

– Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way.
– Please move off the trail when groomers are coming and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night.
– Have fun and stay safe!

Sledheads of Frederic – 12/03

Its been calm and quiet this morning in Frederic, no new snow to speak of overnight but I have seen both the Gaylord and Grayling Groomers this morning. There is supposed to be a clipper tongith which might give us some nice thick snow.. That makes me think I may have to be closed tommorow so I can get a ride in. I am ready for a good ride after only getting in 200 miles last year.
