Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/03
Gaylord Bureau – December 3, 2024 9:15 a.m. Snow, baby, snow! We’re having an epic start to snowmobile season and the Gaylord area currently has over 40 inches, with more in the forecast! The groomers have been running since trails opened on December 1st. Trail #7 is looking good right now. Johannesburg received slightly less snow and is in fair condition. Please remember that even with the fresh snow we received, we are still building up our base. Groomers will keep running as we receive more snow. There is supposed to be a clipper tongith which might give us some nice thick snow.. That makes me think I may have to be closed tommorow so I can get a ride in. -Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
