Sidnaw / Bruce Crossing Trail Report – 12/02
We ran trail 8, 15 and 174 east from Trout Creek yesterday, packed what we could. The grade from Trout Creek to Kenton is pretty thin, heading east it gets much better. 174 has lot’s of snow but the "tight" section of that trail still has several wet spots that need to freeze. We hope to be able to run the rest of our trails soon. Remember, it’s VERY early and there are many obstacles that are not covered by sufficient snow yet. <> <> Visit Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club Sidnaw/Bruce Crossing, Mi. on Facebook >>>> <> Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report Sunday February 15th, 2026 - 11:00 am WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Temperatures will rise above freezing again this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Trail Condition: Fair
Last Groomed: February 13th, 2026
There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We will not be able to groom for couple of days due to the weather.
The trails are getting beat up, we will get back at it as soon as the temperatures allow.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup ... See MoreSee Less

Alright folks — yes, we see the warm-up coming. No surprises there. We’ve got a few softer days ahead as temps creep up, and during the warmest parts of the day you can expect trails to get a little sugary and loose.
That said, this is not a season-ender.
Overnight temps are still dropping enough to give groomers solid windows to get out and work their magic. We’re already hearing from riders who just got back reporting great rides, especially if you time it right and ride the cooler hours.
This little warm spell will pass. Cold air returns Tuesday, and there’s fresh snow in the forecast behind it. Once that cold settles back in, it looks like it’s sticking around.
Bottom line: don’t fret. The base is strong, the groomers are grinding, and this epic snowmobile season is far from over. We’ll ride through this bump in the road and be just fine on the other side.
Ride right, ride safe, and we’ll see you on the trails. #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotosWestern U.P. Snowmobile Trail Update
