KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports – 11/30 It’s less than 12 hours away and the trails will be legal. Looks like an awesome start for this year so come on up. Western UP Trail Reports Web Cam KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 11/30 We are definitely in for a MUCH better season! It’s awesome to see how quickly the white gold is adding up and the crews hard at work clearing the streets! Luigi’s Bar Calumet is eagerly awaiting the return of so many of you riders that make it a priority to stop in! Luigi’s is conveniently located right off of Trail 17 in Calumet! Be sure to stop in and warm up! Always a great time! The forecast is calling for another 1-2 feet of additional snow by Thursday! Trails can officially open tomorrow, December 1st and riders have already been out on state trails 3 from Mass City to Houghton and trail 17 from Hancock to Calumet. (It is the last day of hunting season so riding is only permissible from 11am to 2pm and then after 5pm) There has not been any mention from the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club on when they anticipate being able to safely start grooming operations and unlocking of gates on trails running across private land. We will keep you posted as Information is released. Just 5 days left in the snowmobile trail season but off trail rides should last quite awhile here with the snowpack we have
And it’s coming down pretty good this morning
20 miles south is basically dirt but Mass City to Copper Harbor has plenty of snow and the Keweenaw snowmobile club is still grooming from Toivola north to Copper Harbor and reports have been great
The Superior snowmobile club has finished grooming early this year so extremely bumpy from Toivola and south
If your a snow lover like me, get up here now for a trail ride otherwise spring off trail rides are the best and ya have at least a month left for that

I took a trip to Rhinelander and got a few pics of the trails along the way. There's no snow in Rhinelander and very little in Eagle River. Watersmeet looks bad and doesn't start looking good until Mass City.

Just to clarify there's plenty of snow south of Toivola it's just hasn't been groomed in several days. I'll be posting pics of trail 3 from Watersmeet north that I took yesterday just to give you an idea.
