FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 03/22 Its friday afternoon in frederic, have had calls wondering how much snow. A whole 1 inch on top of nothing. Funny part about that is there were 3 sleds that felt there was enough snow to ride. I took a pic of them over at the swamp about an hour or so ago. No way would I go out in this. Still 9 days of riding season left but I cant see any thing happening. Supposed to be 50 again this coming week. Wish I had better news. The 3 diehards from today are pictured below. No new snow and its icy and mostly dry but my lake is emerging in the back parking lot. My nieghbors were just here and they are going to try to ride to the bridge. I told them to send me a picture, we will see how that works out. There is a prediction of 1 to 4 inches for today but I do not think that will help much. I have a piece of property that I keep plowed out and that was all down to dirt this morning. We lost alot of snow overight and it is now icy and slippery. Strong winds and rain most of the night didnt do us any favors. I was outside about 5 this morning and it was very warm out there. Currently at about 11 friday morning its 33 degrees and slight snow in the air. I have had several calls on people wondering what its like out. There is still alot of snow in the woods but with all the rain I think you will go right thru the slush to the bottom. On the other hand weather said we could get up to 4 inches tonight. Its amazing how great conditions can be and how fast it can dissapear ……Pics below are all this morning. If you stop by to see me just wake me up cause I think this is going to be a boring day...
