SENEY AREA UPDATE via Seney Snowmobile Association – 02/13 The SSA needs your help setting up for the 20th Annual Vets Ride. If you’ll be up in the Seney area on Saturday Feb 24, 2024. We could us a hand setting up for the 20th Annual Vets Ride. We have to set up all the tables and chairs. Clean out the Big Red Barn and a few extra things around there. If you can lend us a hand it would be greatly appreciated. More hands equal less work. We’d like to get this all done on Saturday the 24th if possible. It take a small village to set this all up. If you can lend a hand please let us know. A few light snow showers will be possible in the higher terrain of the western half through tonight, with minimal accumulations less than an inch. Most locations will struggle to get above freezing today, with the exception of areas near Lake Michigan. A clipper will spread a mix of rain, snow, and freezing rain across the area this morning, changing to all rain from west to east as temperatures climb above freezing in the afternoon, reaching as high as the mid 50s in the west. A cold front then drops across the U.P. and brings another round of mixed precip tonight, changing to all snow towards Sunday morning. Generally expect minimal snow amounts across most of the U.P., but some spots in the Keweenaw and the east could pick up 1-3” through Sunday morning.
