MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 01/24 Another successful groom last night. Full run. We still have 2 spots that we can not get the groomer into yet. We need more cold weather before we will be able to groom through them. Conditions are still early season conditions with thin areas. Lots of dirty snow in areas. The logging area has basically no snow where they have plowed, but people have been going off on the side of the trail, so there is a beat down path you can take. Just be careful of water and thin ice. Stay where everyone else has been and you should be ok. Trail is rideable, but not great yet. There is no snow in the forecast for a couple week’s, and warm Temps are not helping us. Pray for cold and snow. We will be doing what we can with what we have to work with. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Short run today to make sure our east end is smooth and conditions couldn’t be better. Possibly making one more full run before the end of season to make sure we are right on track to finish the season out. Reports have been coming in that the trail is pretty smooth. Grooming will end, but the entire trail will be open through the 31st. Private land closes across the state on the 1st of April, so feel free to keep riding, but please respect private property as land use permits do not allow clubs to keep the trail open.
