NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via Pine Stump – 03/29 Well this week hasn’t warmed up like predicted. They will be out until the end if the weather allows. They are calling for another good storm coming through. Come on up and enjoy this snow!!! I have a handful of the atv raffle tickets left we need to sell. All proceeds go to purchasing grooming equipment. Stop by the bar for a ticket or message me and we can figure out logistics <> NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA – 03/29 March 29, 2023 12:30 pm We groomed north to Holland lake Saturday night and back south Sunday night, we plan on grooming north tonight(Wednesday) and south tomorrow night. We will also be grooming county road 414(trail 9) to little lake harbor as well. We did not groom anything else due to low traffic and warm weather. With the traffic over the weekend even though we had fresh snow the trails south are thin, The north trails are reported as good. We have receive about 3 inches of fresh snow today so far, It is currently 25 degrees and snowing. Our plans are for this to be the last of our grooming but the DNR is allowing us to groom through the weekend so it is possible for us to go out again this weekend. Remember when you are on the side of any road always ride on the right side! In other news we are raffling off a a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 450 Donated by Renze Power Sports. Tickets: $100.00 each Drawing held April 22, 2023 @ 7:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Newberry 300 tickets printed Tickets can be purchased from: Renze Power Sports, Halfway Lake Cottages, North Store Follow Me Outfitters, Pine Stump Restaurant, Schubach Farms Cabin Rentals, or Rich Rottier 616-550-8201. Proceeds will go to fund trail grooming equipment! Good Luck! Curfew in the Village of Newberry is 11:00pm to 7:00am. Trail 9: Groomed Saturday night north and Sunday night south. Reported as good. Logging be operations are finished and county roads 415 and 422 are now being groomed. Trail 498: Goomed Sunday night. Good. Trail 45: Not Groomed last night. fair condition. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots Trial 9/2: Not Groomed last night due to lack of snow. Conditions being reported as poor. Thank you to all the team at the groomers barn who puts in countless hours to keep the system groomed and maintenance on the machines! TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association was back out grooming again tonight.
