GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 03/16 Due to the warm temperatures we did not groom last night and will not be grooming tonight. The trail into town is poor. We recommend trailering. Great snow for everyone! WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A storm system will quickly move through the area late this afternoon and tonight bringing accumulating snow to all of the U.P. Heavy snowfall rates and low visibilities could create difficult travel for a few hours. This should have been our sign to turn around back to grand marais. We went around it and had to deal with the drifted plains part of the trail the rest of the way to Pinestump.
