Fresh snow❄️, groomer barn fundraiser in Copper Harbor, meeting so many of you at the event, TONS of you sharing your beautiful photos and shouting praises for the trail conditions – and on top of all that …. having clear skies and a beautiful display of the northern lights dancing in the sky Sunday night!! We are sure priceless memories were made on a father daughter trip by Shawn and Jordyne! Shawn Stone was just one of many sharing his photos and comments about riding the Keweenaw. Shawn said, “Thanks for the info on my questions! We had a great trip with my daughter (Jordyne) over the weekend. Trails were excellent and the best she’s ever been on. We rode south and enjoyed the The Mosquito Inn and north out of Calumet stopping at Jim’s Pizza Calumet and The Mariner North with little other traffic on the trails!” We also picked up about 6 more inches of fresh snowfall yesterday!👏 Thanks for sharing Shawn and so glad you were able to enjoy a great trip with your daughter! ✅Trail 122 from Lake Linden to Gay is FULLY OPEN and groomed!!! 👏👏👏 Please download the Groomer Tracker app and subscribe to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trail system to receive up to the moment Trail grooming information! It’s really hard to say the “official 2025/26” snowmobile season has ended….. so we will only say grooming operations have ended and gates on trails crossing private land will be locked as of 4/1/26.
With the upcoming forecast ❄️🩵 and trails still being in excellent 🤩 condition, it should be noted for those that still want to ride… You CAN!
❌ Private land leases end and gates will close on 4/1/26
❌Portage Lake Lift Bridge gates will close on 4/1/26
🟢 Trails on state land do not “close” but be aware you could encounter ORV’s on these trails. For detailed information please check the DNR interactive maps
🟢 Trail 3 from Lake Linden to Hancock can be ridden at any time of the year
🟢 Trail 17 from Calumet to Hancock can be ridden at any time of the year
🟢 Trail 3 running south out of Houghton to Mass City area can be ridden at any time
Please respect private land owner rights. We can't have a trail system without their support.

What a great last snowmobile trip of the season ❄️❄️ 🩵 Wrapped up the season last weekend with 4 days of flat & fast trails, and ended the last day with the Vintage Snowmobile Run For Fun Fundraiser for the Valley Sno Drifters🛷

Well most trails close after today, Trail 3 is open all year and there’s plenty of snow left in these parts
It’s kinda sad dayfor trail riders especially since reports from Toivola north trails are reporting excellent conditions and a snowstorm in the forecast!
But gates will be locked up till next season
Personally right now starts my favorite rides of the year
Warm temps(sometimes tee shirt weather) but the beauty of the creeks and waterfalls are gorgeous!
I’m sure I’ll be sharing pictures for another month and will post here so y’all can ride vicariously through me!
It’s been a great winter
I’m pretty sure this will be my last season of riding with my battle with ALS
My body is giving up on me but not my spirit so stay tuned, ya never know
